LIVE Workshop
How to make healthy relationship habits stick even when your brain keeps pulling you back into old patterns.
You know what to do. So why can't you make yourself do it?
I'm running a live 2-hour Zoom workshop on why the healthy habits you're trying to build in relationships keep falling apart…
And how to rewire the part of your brain that keeps overriding them.
You told yourself you wouldn't double-text, but you did it anyway.
You swore you'd hold the boundary this time, but you caved before the end of the week.
You promised yourself you wouldn't lose sleep over someone who hasn't earned it.
Yet, it’s 2 a.m., and you’re up checking their Instagram.
It's not like you don't know what healthy relationship habits look like.
You could write the playbook for healthy relationships if you wanted to.
But no matter what you try, you just can’t make these healthy habits stick.
So you start thinking you’re weak, desperate, or lack discipline.
None of that is true.
The reason healthy relationship habits don't stick has nothing to do with willpower or discipline.
I’ll tell you why in a second.
The backstory
I get it because I lived it.
I got divorced at 37 with two kids.
I started dating again and could see my unhealthy relationship patterns in real time.
I knew I was falling too fast.
I knew I was choosing unavailable people.
And I knew I was abandoning myself to keep them close.
I could see it happening in real time.
And I still couldn't stop.
By the fifth guy, I wanted to check myself into a facility.
That's when I discovered attachment styles, and everything finally made sense to me.
I read all the books, and I understood why I was dealing with the same patterns in my relationships.
But knowing the right habits didn’t help me build and keep healthy relationship habits.
Instead, I kept forcing new behaviors that would work for a few days at a time.
Then something would trigger me, and I'd be right back to the old pattern like nothing had changed.
Here's what I learned that changed everything
Your brain has two systems.
The thinking brain — the part that reads the books, learns the habits, and makes the plan.
And the deciding brain — the part that controls what you actually do when you're triggered, activated, or scared of losing someone.
The deciding brain doesn't speak English.
It can't read your affirmations.
It doesn't care about the boundary you wrote in your journal.
It was programmed before you could speak, and it takes the same actions every time your nervous system gets activated.
So when you try to build a new habit, your thinking brain says yes.
But the second you're triggered, the deciding brain takes over and ruins your progress.
That's why willpower and discipline won't help you make healthy relationship habits stick.
Because you’re fighting the deciding brain with the wrong tools.
What we'll do together in the workshop
First, we'll find the pattern that keeps undoing your progress. I'll walk you through an exercise to uncover the subconscious script that takes over the moment you're triggered — the one that tears down every new habit you try to build.
You can't make something stick until you know what keeps ripping it apart.
Next, we'll build two futures. The version of you where the growth actually held — you hold boundaries without white-knuckling, you trust yourself, you don't spiral when someone takes three hours to text back.
And the version where you keep building new habits, only to watch them collapse.
When your brain sees both clearly, staying the same no longer feels safe — and that's when new habits no longer require so much effort.
Then, the identity shift. If your subconscious identity is "I'm the one who chases" or "I have to over-give to be loved," your brain will tear down any habit that contradicts it.
That's why your progress keeps reversing.
I'll walk you through the beginning of rewriting that identity — so your new habits have something solid to attach to.
Finally, I'll be honest about what makes it stick for good. Two hours will give you real clarity and a real shift. But making it permanent requires repetition, guided visualization, and someone who can see your blind spots. I'll show you how that works.
This might not be for you
This is for the person who already knows what they should be doing differently — and is frustrated that they can't make it stick.
You've tried to change. You've built the habits. They hold for a few days or a couple of weeks, and then something triggers you, and you're right back where you started.
That's exactly what this workshop answers.
